Themes & Notes

Amahl and the Night Visitors, an Italian Christmas opera inspired the title. Funny enough, Gian Carlo Menotti, the creator, and I were inspired by The Three Wise Men when creating our respective narratives.
In Tagalog, "Mahal" means "dearest." In Persian, it means "palace." Themes involving love/attachment or home/prison.

Despite its sharp air and dark days, I'm allured by the magic of winter. This year has been a lot of connecting with people...and I love connecting with people.

I've always thought the more I connect with myself, the more I connect with others. I've learned it's the reverse. The more I connect with others, the more I connect with myself. This playlist is a giving back, a thank you, for the magic those given to me.
